# Send via Claim

> Send USDC or SOL via a claimable link — no need to know the recipient's address.

Send via Claim lets you send USDC or SOL by generating a link and a passphrase. Share the link with anyone — they claim the funds by entering the passphrase. No wallet address exchange needed.

## How it works

1. Tap **Send** on the home screen
2. Enter the amount (tap the token badge to choose **USDC** or **SOL**), then tap **Continue**
3. Instead of entering a recipient, tap **Generate a claim link**
4. (Optional) Pick a privacy protocol — Send via Claim supports **Auto**, **MagicBlock**, or **Privacy Cash**
5. Optionally add a message (up to 50 characters)
6. Review the fee breakdown
7. Tap **Proceed** and approve the transaction
8. Copy the **claim link** and **passphrase**

<Warning>
  The passphrase is required to claim the funds. It is generated with the claim and never stored anywhere.
</Warning>

<Note>
  Send via Claim doesn't currently support Umbra — only MagicBlock and Privacy Cash. Umbra requires recipient registration, which doesn't fit the open-claim model.
</Note>

<Note>
  A **SOL** claim link routes through **Privacy Cash** only — MagicBlock is USDC-only and Umbra is excluded from Send via Claim.
</Note>

## Sharing the link

After creating the claim, you'll get:

* A **claim link** (e.g., `swish.cash/c/...`)
* A **passphrase** (a secret string needed to claim)

When you tap **Copy Claim Link**, both the link and passphrase are copied together. You can then share them however you'd like — DM, text, email, etc.

## How the recipient claims

1. Open the claim link
2. Sign into Swish (if not already)
3. Enter the **passphrase**
4. Tap **Claim**
5. Funds are transferred to their wallet

## Reclaiming funds

Changed your mind? If the funds haven't been claimed yet, you can reclaim them:

1. Go to the claim link (or find it in your **Activity** tab)
2. Tap **Reclaim**
3. The funds are returned to your wallet

Once claimed by someone else, reclaim is no longer available.

## Fee breakdown

Fees vary by protocol — Swish itself charges nothing. The send modal shows the exact fee for the chosen route before you confirm.

See [Fees](/fees) for the full table.

## When to use Send via Claim

* You don't know the recipient's wallet address
* You want to send money without asking for an address
* You want an extra layer of security with the passphrase
